There are a ton of SEO Terms thrown around. When first starting out, it can be hard to figure out exactly what all of the words different people use mean. To help, we’ve come up with this Glossary that should answer some of those questions.
SEO Terms. Starting from the Top.
The bounce rate is the percentage of visitors to your site who navigate away from the website after looking at only one page. The higher the bounce rate, the more work there is to do with your content.
A citation is a listing on the internet of your Business’s: Name, Address, and Phone Number, also called a NAP. Google, Bing, and others use these as an evaluating tool when looking at your business authority online.
Pageviews (Page Views)
A pageview is the instance of a page being loaded in the browser. Pageviews is a metric used in analytics that Google defines as the entire number of pages viewed. Repeated views of the same page are counted in this metric.
